Position: Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel)

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling backend systems that power high-traffic Shopify apps. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clean architecture practices, and experience working with production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Work with Shopify Admin and related APIs
• Implement background jobs, queues, and async workflows
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams
• Debug, monitor, and improve existing backend systems

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of extensive, hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel frameworks
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and API design
• Experience with databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / NoSQL)
• Familiarity with webhooks, background workers, and queues
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the Shopify platform and ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with Python image processing libraries such as Pillow (PIL), OpenCV, ImageMagick, or similar
• Understanding of SEO concepts and metadata optimization
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
